Battling through the fierce winds - the DJI Mavic Pro 2 held it’s own and still managed to turn out some buttery smooth footage. Pretty incredible for a Drone that fits in your coat pocket!
Just going through some images from the new DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone. And they are AMAZING. With a sensor size almost four times larger than the standard Phantom 4 - this Drone is setting incredible new benchmarks in image quality.
This is the one I had been waiting for- and it's now here!
Am still reveling in the memory of this incredible location. Here's a quick video I pieced together with some of the aerial footage compiled on the trip. Enjoy!
This is an aerial photo of Albert Dock. Shot with a DJI Phantom 4 Drone. 27th October 2016. In the early 80's Margaret Thatcher wanted to tear it down as part of a "managed decline" operative for the city of Liverpool. Kinda glad she didn't get her way! These incredible buildings still stand majestically on the Mersey River. The afternoon light hitting them perfectly. Get on down and check them out if you're popping into Liverpool for a visit...
What an absolute beauty day down at "Another Place" in Crosby Liverpool. I had the Drone (new toy) up recording a little bit of video. It's been a while since I recorded any video. About 12 years in fact! But was nice to put together a quick clip to showcase the amazing "iron men" of Crosby beach. Using the Drone takes a bit of practice as controlling the aircraft and the video camera simultaneously takes some concentration. But we got there in the end! Enjoy!
Then when I got back and looked at the ship - it looked vaguely familiar. I realised I had photographed her in her home country. A few years back I was out in Buenos Aires on assignment for Conde Nast Traveller magazine - and there she was in the beautiful Buenos Aires harbour at sunset. So nice to see her again!
