The Atlantic Container Line vessel - Atlantic Sea was christened successfully in Liverpool this week - and here's the photos to prove it!
Another magical day of photography in Liverpool - with the christening of the new Atlantic Container Line vessel - Atlantic Sea. HRH Princess Anne made a special trip up for the event - and I had the pleasure of photographing her visit. I've photographed her on 3 other occasions, which in comparison were rather hurried affairs. This day there was plenty of time for her to relax and enjoy the wonderful hospitality that Liverpool brings! As you can see from her many different expressions - she had a fantastic day!
Coming off the back of a big two week commercial photography job - it was nice to get back down and see the crew at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal this morning. The Caribbean Princess sailed quietly up the Mersey at 6am this morning.
I was back on the terminal to grab some PR and marketing shots - documenting the hustle and bustle of guests from all over the world disembarking to see Liverpool for the first time. I was also lucky enough to get a guided tour on board from one of the brilliant Filipino security guards.
The weather wasn't ideal as the ominous clouds were rolling over from Manchester as they usually do... :)
But there were a few carefully exposed shots to be had regardless!
She'll be sticking around for a couple of days - so head on down and have a wee look!
Right... now it's off to photograph the annual Liverpool ONE Beach festivities. Long may the sun continue to shine!
