A fantastic night had by all at the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner at the ACC Convention Centre last night. Was certainly a bit of a "who's who" in the business world. A great turn out of 581 of Liverpool's finest local businesspeople. The Earl of Derby began proceedings followed by CEO of the Chamber Jack Stopforth. Lord Heseltine gave a compelling speech and further instilled the importance this man has had on Liverpool's past few decades of development. Was great to hear he was ultimately responsible for keeping landmarks such as the Albert Dock from being torn down. Finally business icon Martin Broughton rounded off the speeches. A great night and an optimistic future ahead for the City of Liverpool.
