As it’s been proven time after time – the best artist in the X-Factor competition doesn’t always win. One such artist – Rebecca Ferguson had a special homecoming gig in Liverpool One recently. She even spared time to have a cup of tea and a few photos with some fans nearby before the concert. Singing outside in Liverpool One the cheers of a maddening crowd soon hushed as her distinctive soul/jazz voice found its rhythm. Her daughter then came on stage and made the show that much more special. A local Liverpool lass with a rare talent and natural humility to boot.
I’m looking forward to having a listen to the whole album “Heaven” which has now been released. If the rest is as good as the singles i’ve heard already… it’s sure to be a wee gem…
Speaking of X-Factor – current finalist and Liverpool sensation Marcus Collins is doing a special show this Wednesday night at Liverpool One which i’ll be photographing. I’ll try and post some photos from that soon after!
